Current: The Department of Social Services and Elderly Services is a focal point for all town residents who seek public services. We provide aid in time of crisis, both financial as well as service oriented. We furnish state-administered programs through referrals in order to see that each resident is provided with a standard in conducting their lives. To the elderly community we are constantly seeking to improve their quality of life by educating them in new concepts of living. We keep our elderly active in the community through volunteerism as well as educational and recreational programs. We continue to keep them up to date, through informative group sessions, which enhance their personal development.
