Current: The Waconia Area Senior Center was established through the volunteer efforts of the Waconia Senior Center Task Force. The Task Force was created in February of 2016 by local senior community members who were passionate about starting a senior center to serve the Waconia Area. In the summer of 2016, Freshwater Church - Waconia Campus partnered with the Waconia Senior Center Task Force and graciously offered the use of their facility one day a week to start a senior center. The Waconia Area Senior Center officially opened it's doors for the first time on Thursday, September 29, 2016. We would like to thank Freshwater Church for their generosity.
