Current: Our mission is to provide services to residents in Ritchie County, which will enable them to live independent, meaningful, and dignified lives in their own homes and communities. Since 1972, Ritchie County Family Services (RCIFS) has been committed to providing services to the older adults of Ritchie County; services that will enable them to remain in their homes and delay nursing home placement when feasible. In addition to services for the elderly, RCIFS operates a Public Transportation program, which is largely used to access health care, both in Ritchie County and surrounding counties. Services are also provided to individuals under the age of 60 who qualify through the WV Medicaid Personal Care and Waiver programs.
