Current: The Pottsville Senior Community Center is located at the former "Market Basket" in historic downtown Pottsville, at the corner of Centre and Arch streets. Our newly remodeled center features a bistro-like setting, computer lab, baby grand piano and a warm environment for meeting old friends or making new ones. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the center allows older adults to enjoy educational opportunities, wellness classes, socialization, recreation and community service, in addition to a nutritionally balanced lunch-time meal. Volunteer opportunities also abound at the center, whether you enjoy one-on-one contact delivering Meals on Wheels or helping out with center activities and daily events.
