Current: The Hoodland Senior Center began as an idea of Reva Cox, of the Community Schools Organization in Welches in November 1976. On February 8, 1977, with the help of Louise O’Dea the first potluck luncheon was held at the Hoodland Lions Club in Wemme with coffee supplied by the Sandy Senior Group. There were 32 people in attendance at the first potluck and 52 people at the second.
