Current: The mission of Douglass East Side Senior Citizens Center is to help facilitate the emotional, social, physical, mental health, and well being of our independent senior citizens. We strive to provide them with access to a variety of direct services such as transportation, health screens from visiting nurses, daily activities, and social interactions with other seniors. Our goal is to provide a diverse culture for a safe place Senior Citizens are able to laugh and engage in healthy fun filled activities in a home away from home atmosphere. We provide transportation to and from the senior center, to doctor appointments, shopping errands, and also Delta Nutrition provide the seniors with a healthy nutritionist lunch daily.
