Current: The purpose of the Hispanic Senior Center is to serve seniors in the Greater Cleveland area with an emphasis on the cultural and linguistic needs of the older adults of the Hispanic community. Most of our participants face the culturally unexpected experience of social isolation; living alone and out of contact with family, friends or peers. Language and cultural barriers make healthcare, housing, and general socialization systems even more difficult to access. The Hispanic Senior Center provides our participants with the opportunity to be among friends; sharing language and cultural background.
