Current: John Paul II Friendship Center is located at the oldest Polish parish at Manhattan. It is finessed by Department for the Aging and has Polish Slavic Center as a main sponsor. The main part of services provided for people over 60 years of age is serving hot lunch for approximately 85 seniors daily. Program provides many cultural and educational activities as well. Seniors, in pleasant atmosphere every day, watch TV movies listen to the music, play board games. In John Paul II Friendship Center works a social worker, as a full time employee, who helps seniors in every day matters form simple translations to complicated issues concerning e.g. retirement benefits.
