Current: AMICO, headed by Joan Pastore, DSW, and its community board of directors, provides services to the Center’s 7,000+ members through grants from New York City’s Department for the Aging (DFTA). The Seniors work to raise additional funds by running a small thrift shop, conducting raffles, and facilitating trips. The funds raised are used to enhance the Center’s programming and there are scholarship opportunities for those members who may not be able to participate in a specific activity due to financial concerns or limitations.
