Current: Carter Burden/Leonard Covello Senior Program (Covello Program) is one of NYC'S Innovative Senior Centers that provides socialization, recreation and education through a wide array of daily activities including: breakfast and lunch; exercise; dance and yoga classes; computer training; health and wellness activities; arts programs; special events & holiday parties; and other activities. Exciting day trips are also planned on a regular basis. Case assistance is offered to members/participants who need help in applying for government benefit programs, addressing landlord/tenant disputes, or accessing medical care. The Covello Program is located in East Harlem and occupies a 28,125 square foot building. It is open to anyone over the age of 60, regardless of where s/he lives.
