Current: The Bayonne Office on Aging is the focal point for more than 12,500 local seniors, providing direct services and benefits available through national, state, county and local community agencies. The primary objectives are to help the elderly reach their fullest potential; to make them aware of their rights under the law; to make the public aware of the frail elderly problem areas and to seek solutions to these problems; to insure a lifelong continuum with a focus on program participation and fostering maximum independence. The Bayonne Office on Aging is funded by the NJ Division on Aging, Older Americans Title III as amended through a grant from Hudson County Office on Aging, the City of Bayonne and Community Development Block Grants.
