Current: The Hollis Seniors Organization is open to all Hollis residents who have attained the age of 55 years. The Hollis Seniors provides an opportunity to catch up with long-time friends, to meet new people, and to get to know one another at such functions as the weekly luncheons which are held at the Lawrence Barn each Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. From September through June, these luncheons are provided by Meals on Wheels in a community dining setting at the Barn with featured speakers or community service activities. During the Summer, we still meet weekly; however, we brown-bag our own lunches; order pizza, subs, or Chinese; or make a trip to one of the many local restaurants. We also put on an annual Christmas luncheon in December as well as an annual picnic in June at some of the many function facilities located in our area.
