Current: In 2000, The Charter Township Board of Trustees & Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA) were going to close the Pearl Wright Senior Center, due to inadequate funding. Cynthia A. Phillips went to the Board of Trustees and explained that she could come up with a plan where the Township could run and operate the center. Along with Kimberly Bradley Reaves, Joanne Day and Paula Washington, they put a budget plan together and presented it to the Board of Trustees. The Pearl Wright Center & Fannie Adams Transportation has been operating in the black ever since.
