Current: The Lower 9th Ward Senior Center is located at the Andrew P. Sanchez & Copelyn-Bird Center at 1616 Caffin Ave., Suite 1100 in the Lower Ninth Ward. Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays; all residents of Orleans Parish aged 60-plus are eligible to join. Our mission is to support our seniors’ active lifestyles and provide them with opportunities to put their personal gifts and wisdom to use. The Center is operated with support from the City of New Orleans and donations from businesses and individuals.
