Current: In 1980 Bloomingdale Township began offering programs to senior citizens, on a part time basis, in the basement Town Hall meeting room. From those humble beginnings evolved the senior center that exists today. In 1997 the Bloomingdale Township Senior Center was renamed, the Michael A. Miliotti Senior Center, in dedication to the man who was instrumental in bringing senior services to the township. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The center provides a clean comfortable and safe place for seniors to participate in various activities. The center is also home for the Senior Council of Bloomingdale Township, made up of individuals representing the center as well as other senior organizations. The Senior Council functions as a clearinghouse for activities and information between the township and various other senior groups.
