Current: Services at the center include Congregate Meals, Meals On Wheels, and lots activities and helpful information for seniors. All services are for Gilmer County residents who are 60 and over, and there are no income qualifications for services. The Senior Center offers a variety of activities such as crafts, music, exercise, games and special field trips. We have educational workshops with guest speakers who share important information for our seniors such as nutritional education, Georgia Legal Services and the Alzheimer’s Association, just to name a few. We also have transportation available to all seniors who may want to attend the center for congregate meals. Our home delivered meals provide assistance for persons 60 and over who are home-bound and cannot come to the Senior Center. Volunteers are always welcome, and we are especially grateful to those who help deliver Meals on Wheels.
