Current: The Elderly Services Department functions as the central resource center for information on programs, activities and services for elderly residents 60 years of age and older. The department also provides information and referral assistance to individuals and families caring for elderly relatives. The department oversees the operation of the Miller Senior Center, a multi-purpose facility located at 2901 Dixwell Avenue. Elderly Services also administers the Senior Transportation Program and the Elderly Outreach Office. A monthly newsletter, including a calendar of events, is distributed to inform residents of programs, services, activities and other pertinent information.
